Express Entry: 2025 Category-based selection

The IRCC has announced 2025 Express Entry category-based selection in March 2025 (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/2025/02/canada-announces-2025-express-entry-category-based-draws-plans-for-more-in-canada-draws-to-reduce-labour-shortages.html). Details as follow:

1. NEW education category
2. Draws will be focused on Canadian Experience Class (“CEC”)
3. Based on the immigration target / needs, IRCC will conduct category-based invitation rounds in the following categories:
   • French language, or
   • Work experience in the following fields:
     1. Health care and social services (such as family physicians, nurse practitioners, dentists, pharmacists, etc.);
     2. Trades (such as carpenters, plumbers etc.);
     3. Education (such as teachers, childcare educators etc.)
