Temporary Residents Permit (TRP)
A Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) is an authorized document issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). It permits individuals to temporarily enter or stay in Canada, even if they would typically be deemed inadmissible. TRPs are granted to individuals who do not fulfill the standard visa or permit requirements but have a legitimate purpose for their temporary visit or stay in Canada.

Case #7 Admissible with Oversea Criminal Record

In 2018, Mr. H attempted to transport powdered formula from Hong Kong into Mainland China for his close friends but was apprehended at the border.

In January 2023, Mr. H appointed MBB Law and MBB Immigration as his representative to get a determination on his admissibility status before deciding on his plan to travel/invest/immigrant to Canada.

Takes a few months’ processing time, we successfully obtained an official ruling from Immigration Canada to confirm his conviction is not reportable under Act of the Parliament of Canada, therefore, he is not inadmissible. He is able to travel to Canada to complete his business exploratory trip to decide his future plan to invest/immigrate to Canada.
